I’m running 100km this October to raise funds for the estimated 1 in 40 Australians on the autism spectrum!
I'm running 100km for my niece Nina, my sister and their family this October. The recent news that Nina has level 2 autism means we can now start learning how to support her with the things she finds challenging. Things that most of us do without a second thought. Just like no two people are the same, no two people with autism are the same. Each have their own set of unique traits, behaviours, challenges, including many delighful characteristics. Life can be difficult for those with autism and their families but with the right supports we can remove some barriers, ease the challenges, so they lead fulfilling lives. Support me to support those with autism and their families as I run 100km during October.
Any contribution, large or small, will help create a more inclusive future for Australia’s Autistic community.
