You can take part individually, create or join a team. This year we have branched out in a bigger way and you can now create or join a community with your team!
Let's break it down here so you can find out the best way for you or your workplace, school, gym or sports club to get involved.
You are participating with your workplace (the community) and different departments wish to create their own teams. The teams will all be in the workplace community, with individual teams represented. |
|
You are taking part with a school and each class (or year group) wish to form their own team. The school is the community, with the teams sitting underneath. |
|
You are taking place with a gym (the community) and different classes or friendship groups wish to form their own teams. |
Please note that you will have to create a team and then create your community.
INDIVIDUAL - Sign up solo. You also have the option to create or join a team!
TEAM UP - Create your own team and you can invite your team members from your dashboard anytime. You can also join an existing team either by accepting their invite or if you know the team name you can search it up and click join the team button on their team page.
COMMUNITY - You can create a community once you have created a team. You can invite people to join or they can create their own team within your community. You can check out how your community is tracking on the leaderboard. |
Get your group together and you’ll also go into the draw for a $250 Lululemon voucher!
Do you know what's even more exciting than reaching your Run for autism goals solo? Doing it as part of a team! Imagine the satisfaction of achieving your targets with the support of friends and colleagues.
Why stop there? You can elevate the challenge and organise a "community" competition with your workplace, gym, or sports club. Form multiple teams and let them compete in a grand challenge!
Looking for inspiration? Meet Kathryn!
“I'm Kathryn, and I took part in Run for autism to raise money for Australians on the autism spectrum. For last year's Run for autism, I created a team of friends and family-Team Hornet!”
"My inspiration was very close to home as our awesome 5-year-old, Hudson, is on the autism spectrum. Fortunately, he received his diagnoses at three years old, giving him (and us) access to services and support that have helped him thrive”
“It was so much fun sharing the experience. We kept each other on track and followed each other's progress throughout October, all with a bit of healthy competition.”
Invite friends and family members to join you in this awesome challenge -multiply the impact and the fun! You’ll be making a huge difference for adults and children just like Hudson.
Encourage yourself or your teammates to start raising funds through your networks. This will not only help achieve personal fundraising goals but also contribute to team fundraising goals.
Above all, remember to have fun!
