I’m running 80km this October to raise funds for people with autism🫶
A CAUSE VERY CLOSE TO MY HEART!
I decided to run 80kms and Cleo 10kms this October to raise funds for autism awareness, assessments, specific education and therapies. People diagnosed with autism has almost doubled in the last few years and services are being stretched - that means long waiting lists and lot of kids left without help at critical times in their development.
My family member has been diagnosed with autism at only 2 years old and it’s amazing how correct communication, interaction, speech therapy and access to proper school can absolutely transform his life. He was told, he was always going to act like 2 years old but now (6yo), he has no nappies, communicates with us and attends year 1 where he learns to write numbers and ABCs.
People with autism just need help to unlock their brilliance!
Any contribution, large or small, will help create a more inclusive future for Australia’s Autistic community.
