Day 6 - Sunday Run

Not a typical Sunday long run but knocking up 30km of the month long of 5km.

Good luck to all the Perth Running Festival participants!!
Wish I was there and will be back next year!!!

Day 5 - Tamworth Parkrun

Got down to the local ParkRun today, great to be running with other people once in a while. I did end up pushing a bit too hard but its all fun hahah

Day 4 - Down River

Took a chance to head out during lunch in the city. Headed down the river towards the Old Swan Brewery. Sadly, no beer today but did see some Spring swans and their cygnets

Day 3 - Local Spectators

Well that was fairly wet and windy. At least I had some spectators cheering me on this morning.
Was hard to get out of bed this morning, but will get up whenever I need to this month to complete this challenge and raise autism awareness.

Day 2 - Brave the Weather

Day 2 done. 29 days to go.
Had to pick my time today, and I picked it bang on! Weather was perfect, except of the mean Westerly!

Day 1 - Morning Start

Beautiful morning to start the Run for Autism month :)
Great to pull the shoes back on for such a great cause. Nice and slow to start and will increase the pace by the end of the month. Aim is to crack the 24min 5km by month end.

I’m running this October for the 1 in 40 Australians on the autism spectrum.

I’m running 5km a day for the whole October to raise funds for the estimated 1 in 40 Australians on the autism spectrum!

Increased awareness and understanding means more people than ever are being diagnosed as Autistic – connecting more people to the support they need to thrive throughout their lives. But it also means services are being stretched further than ever before - with many children left on long wait lists at critical times in their development.

I have joined Run for autism to raise funds so more Autistic Australians can access the life-changing assessments, autism-specific education, specialist therapies and adult community services they need to create their own unique brilliance!

Any contribution, large or small, will help create a more inclusive future for Australia’s Autistic community.

Thank you so much!

Hi Chris, Thanks so much for the hard work that you are doing out there for this amazing cause. Our youngest son on the spectrum and we are very much aware of how important it is to raise awareness in the general population. What you are doing is very admirable.
